Acronym for Combine Pre-Medical Test , CPMT is one of the most recognized entrance examinations in India. It is conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Government through Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj Medical University and is meant for those aspiring for higher education in the field of clinical science. The esteemed medical entrance examination is conducted every year and students completing 10+2 level can appear for the test. The CPMT is acknowledged by varied UP Government recognized Medical, Dental, Ayurvedic, Unani and Homeopathic colleges. The 2014 CPMT would tentatively fall on the month of June the coming year.

The CPMT 2014 encompasses a wide range of medical courses. These include-

- BHMS- Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine & Surgery

The candidate aspiring for CPMT 2014 should be an intermediate pass with science securing at least 50 percent marks in the major science subjects- such as Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
The candidate must not be less than 17 years during the admission and no more than 25 years.
The CPMT 2014 Application form can be secured either online or offline. Those interesting in online application form should hit to the UPCMT official website for the form download. Besides, the UPCMT application form would be available from government recognized bank branches like Allahabad Bank, Central Bank or Bank of India. The application fee is 1280 INR (counseling charges included) for General & OBC category while it is 680 INR (counseling charges included) for the ST/SC category.
The CPMT 2014 examination is divided into 2 segments carrying MCQ patterned questions. The First paper involves 100 Objective patterned questions from Botany & Zoology while the Second Paper will have 100 questions from Chemistry and Physics. The exam duration is 180 minutes or 3 hours.
